Ap racing brakes and arb bushes...

Omg what a pig of a job, did the front but my brakes are giving off a little smoke after 3 mile test drive, is this normal?

you gave the brakes to much grief to soon by the sounds of it,i forgot to say bed them in slowly if they continue to smell after use then you may have glazed the pads which means they need to come off have a quick wipe with sand paper and refit. see how they go for the time being.

The pins seized, screwdriver bent trying to beat them out, ended up borrowing a neighbours punch and got them out eventually. It took about 4-5 hours just to do front pads and disc's, they are a pain. My pads Had loads of life in them to go but the discs were shot.

It's not a job I look forward to doing again, half way through I just wanted to give up and go back to bed! Lol

Hopefully the backs will be easier next week ( tool didn't arrive ).

I didn't bother doing the arb bushes either because I was so fed up...

lol sorry it was so difficult for you im glad i had no problems doing mine.
the rears will be much much easier even taking your time you should have the discs and pads done in an hour.

They seem to be binding a bit, I did notice that when I was fitting them the inside pad on both calipers was very tight and the outside ones were loose. Do you think this will wear off or should I remove the pads and grind the inside ones slightly so they slide in/out easy. Or should I remove one of the metal plates that sit either side of the pad?
I've had it with these buggers lol

i take it you pushed both pistons back fully,is it the pad itself or the metal part of the pad thats making it tight,if its the metal part i have heard of people having to grind a small amount off the metal part.

Yes it's the metal part, I'm going to grind them back next week when I do the rears, I'll pop them off the front then. I think there is a bit of corrosion under the plate beside the pad, I have emailed ap about refurbing them as they could do with it! But for now I think grind them down. I would be out there today playing but I've got the man flu and can't be doing with moving...
