Ah N249. ;)

Remember take out all that ice, rear seats, spare wheel, jack etc, passenger seat also(this only take 2 mins max!!) and an extra 10 psi in those rear wheels.;) Looks like i'll be going away on the fri, bugger!

Less drag on the rear. Put pressure in!!!!!! Or fit std rear wheels!!!!

I would of thought a remapped ibiza would brake into 14's???

Just take the rear parcel shelf out!!!

mine aint remapped. ran 15.06 standard.
fitted a blue flame full system and will have i/c on next week so should be in 14's

Oh. Glad to hear that!!!! 15sec std is good!!!!

I hope i get into 14's!!!!!! Gonna be pissed off if i don't!!!!

Well wot difference are you gonna notice without it being mapped???

I know sum1 else who lost power after fitting a FMIC without having it remapped.

I thought the only advantage of having a FMIC is that it cools things down therefore holding higher boost through the rev range????

Surely running standard boost it's not gonna make the blindest bit of difference???? Just weighs it down!!!! (dat last bit was a joke)

You dont need to have it mapped tho, the standard side mount is so shocking anything would be an improvement.

But i agree you wont get the full benefit of an FMIC if you dont have it remapped.

Anyway, back to topic.

Personally i dont see a need for this on my k03 setup, but for your kind of power i bet its a godsend in 1st and 2nd.

I know that you do get gains from adding an AM fmic to a standard car, but i can't remember the figures. Although any uprated IC using non standard pipe work will because all the restrictions are being removed!

True. Didn't think of this. I like the AM one. Could you fit an LCR engine cover with the AM FMIC as the intercooler pipe goes around the engine like the LCR???

I will work on a guide. The hardest thing was working out which wires i needed to tap into.

You tap into gearbox speed sender, although its not designed for vag cars it does give a reading.

It takes the engine RPM and divides this by the vehicle speed so it stays constant. Mine has a reading of 145 in first gear. You input this into the apexi and set the duty cycle according to the level of boost required. This can be done it 5 gears, so for stupidly powerful applications like IHI. Mine doesn't spin much in 2nd in the dry so 1st gear is the only limited gear, but iam going to do setting B for wet weather where 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear are a big problem.

I've ordered one of these for mine... should come this week.
Could you let me know the wires you have used to splice into? speed related boost is going to be well handy... as will settings for wet etc... all 6gear wheelspin otherwise lol.

*bump* for Matt
My AVC-R has arrived - any luck with the info on where you tapped into?

Did you use injector duty cycle or rpm? (tapping?)
throttle from pedal? (which connection?)
speed related from g'box speed sensor (which connection?)

many thanks in advance
cheers

Sorry Bill, been decorating all week so haven't had much chance. I will get on it toomorrow. If you wanna give me your address i can send you the complete engine wiring diagram to help you.
