I went to a rolling road day and someone there had a GIAC remap on his totally standard LCR 210 and he got 260 FHP! Naturally he was well chuffed! I've got a GIAC on mine now but mine's only a cupra!

Was that at Awesome he got 260?

My LCR had just Revo and a dump valve when it got 272bhp at the Fly at Stealth but that only means anything when you compare all the cars RR'd that day..

So a totally unmodified LCR225 like mine should be chuning about 220-225 at flywheel and about what at the road??? any rough guesses?

The results were posted earlier for an unmodified 225........

192................195..................197 all bhp @ the wheels
208..................208.................208 Lbft on all 3 runs!!!!! stock is 206Lbft!!!!

So if I throw a dynatwist at it and add a Forge007p, will i notice any gain! I know the Forge is not a power mod, but it should help harness and direct more USEABLE power! Less seepage or something!

May add revo at later date, just still concerned over a few tales!

prob see bout 200 whp (wheel horse power)

and also, sorry to be a pain, but should i chose not to go for a dynatwist, what kind of "plug in and play" air filter can i get that will be worth the money, slot straight into the existing box, not have adverse effect on enging and go well with the Forge 007p when i fit it a later date!

Dynatwist has been logged with more airflow over std airbox setup... but so has a green panel filter combined with larger 80mm intake flexi pipe on smoothed airbox. RamAir will also flow more and also make more noise.

Choices... and options to suit.

I don't disagree with what Bill said but I have had a few induction kits myself (Green Panel & New ducting, BMC CDA, RamAir) in my book they do help the engine breath more easily and give more power but 50% of the reason to buy them is under bonnet bling bling and the sound (Induction roar and subtle Pssschhht sound from the DV which is amplified).

They don't sound Chav just purposeful (sp?) and they add character, lets face it the 1.8T needs added Character ;)

At the tender age of 34 I love the loudest option I have tried, Forge 007p and RamAir....the wife hasn't complained so it can't be that bad ;)

I think your friend should try the lotto this weekend, he seems to have come up against the odds before.... ;)

lol. oooh subtle but i'm with ya! I been playing lotto for ages and not won bugger all so may be similar with my luck and turbo not detonate!

Green Panel "plug in and play" Filter and 007p it is then! Not bothered about sound, just as long as it does make a difference to go go (however small) and wont cause problems!
