ATE or Standard disc's

Ok.., just been on the europarts website after some new front discs for my Cupra.., they have standard replacements and ATE discs.. Now what i wanted to know is what is the difference between them?
They are the same size, both vented but a couple of squid difference..

People have been trying to get of ATE discs for the Ibiza Cupra for ages, but as far as everyone is concented they're not available anymore.

If you manage to get hold of a set, please let me know!!

ATE also do plain discs, grooved powerdiscs are no longer made.

As Jonzy said, powerdisks no longer available, but they are good brakes, so i would probably recommend them. Worth a go!

i've just ordered some ebc grooved front discs pads and rear pads, they will be here today so i'll let you know how i go on once i fit them at the week end.

Beezaturbo, if i were you, i'd send them straight back! As ebc, are worse than letting gravity stop you!

I bought some, run them in, had them on for a short while, and then went back to standard, because they were ****!
The pads aint that bad, but the disks are turd!

I wouldnt recommend ebc turbo disks to a snail!

didnt think their would be any point changing the disks and pads to performance ones unless your getting performance calipers to go with them???

well the discs have gone back, when i went to collect them he quoted me £53 but failed to mention that was each plus VAT so i've kept the pads front and rear greens stuff but need some front discs asap so any one got any ideas the pads need going on tommorrow as they are shot, the discs are just as bad. will standard discs with the greenstuff pads be any good.

Go for the standard replacement ATE discs mate......they'll work well with the pads....

standard 280mm ATE discs here along with some Ferrodo race compound pads (not sure which compound though!!!) provide some good stopping power

The Powerdiscs used to be excellent, but not available any more in 280mm fitment
