ATP sell their eliminator kit with the option of a 3inch big bore TIP – however it seems that it’s unusable if you have a six speed (as I have).

Anyone have any idea how this could be overcome on the 6 speed?

Cheers
Raf

by fitting the smaller one I presume.

Hmmm... I obviously didn't make myself as clear as I possibly could in my request for useful advice....... leaving my query open to interpretation.....

I'll try again.....

When fitting the GTRS eliminator on a 6 speed LC is there an alternative TIP product that would provide similarly higher flow rates as the ATP big bore 3" TIP?

Thanks
Raf

not really - the bell housing just gets too much in the way - you could design your own inlet though? oval shaped

I thought that may be the case - but therefore how would you fit the GTRS eliminator to the standard TIP (or forge TIP) if say you couldn't use the 3inch big bore because you had a 6 speed? I guess you'd have to use the forge TIP - but even still - wouldn't that be too small? It has the same size diameter at the compressor end as a standard TIP (just doing away with the awful elbow? Or is it because it's silicone hosing so it could stretch over the compressor inlet?

Cheers

If you have to use the smaller inlet on the Eliminator, you can't use a k03x fitment TIP, it's about 4mm too small.

Use either an S3/LCR one - which I think will fit just fine - or use the piping that it comes with to fabricate your own.

Made up of a couple of 90 deg bends, which then would attach to an OE inlet. but you don't want an OE inlet, as the MAF will over read. (hence the need for an S3 MAF housing)

I think your best bet is to use their piping initially, then mod an S3/LCR Forge inlet to fit.

Brilliantly helpful, thanks Mark. Do you know what they supply as part of the kit? I presume it's something that fits onto the compressor inlet and then onto the original silicone part of the TIP?

Does the S3/LCR TIP have the same ancillary hose fitments as the LC ? - Or will some of them need blanking?

Cheers again
Raf

They supply some stuff in the kit, although it would still need modifying to suit the application

I'm sure the S3/LCR Tip has most of the holes you need....

I've got some kit pictures somewhere in my folder on www.seatcupra.net/gallery/

I've got a feeling that the LCR TIP has more hose connections that the Cupra one, so you should be okay.

Have a look on the forge site at them both...

Also, My LCR TIP here

I've checked the pics and both seem to have 4 extra connection points - so it should be alright....

Thanks for the advice chaps.
