Got some illuminated middle vents I want to install, there's 2 wires live and earth. I want to wire it so it works on the dimmer, which colour wire on the dimmer switch do I have to patch it in to ?

Also when I take the vents out the air ducts are all sealed, do I just put a small hole in the duct to feed the wire through then seal the hole ?

Would it be easier to wire to to the rear window heater switch below the vents or straight to the dimmer switch itself ?

Wired it in to the rear heater switch in the end and tapped th earth n to the brown wire and the live into the blue/grey wire, so nows all working with the dimmer switch.

2 listings for centre 1's & outer 1's

One of them centre ones on eBay will be mine lol

I bought just a centre one, then when I was looking for the side ones I could only find a full set so get them kept the sides ones and put the centre one on eBay lol

Sorry for digging it up but just got mines and manage to do only drivers side. Connected it to the dimmer straight away without any holes in the air duck (managed to get cables through), now my question is how did you get the cables from the passenger side and where do you suggest to connect it? I was thinking to get the cables under the glove box (un-screw it) then connect the passanger cables with the middle vents cables (so they would be in sort if " Y " shape) and then connect the end to the rear heater switch in the middle? Also, do you have to take your radio out and facia to do all that?

Thanks.

yeah glovebox out for ease, make a loom from the passenger side to meet the middle ones then connect to the join you have at the drivers side.
