Audi S4 B8 – 2 Stage Paint Correction Detail

As some of you know I had my black BMW 335d stolen so with a lot of thought I decided on an alternative as I didn’t want another BMW especially with their vulnerabilities.

Picked up this nice Audi S4 B8

The paint condition wasn’t too bad but if was obvious it lacked gloss and depth I consider acceptable. I decided that I would detail the car over 7 days doing roughly 4 hours a night bringing the car up to standard. This gave me the opportunity to tackle the engine bay, interior and really focus on burnishing the paint to get a wet look finish without no products helping.

Unfortunately during the 28 hours spent I didn’t get time to remove the wheels and seal all the arches, wheels, suspension etc…Always a next time I guess!

Boot was the worst part of the car.

Passenger rear quarter had marring from the clay I used as the panels were quite rough - corrected pretty well in the end.

Results of the burnishing. Wish I had a decent camera to show the “real life” look of the car. Gloss-it polish really done its thing.

Pretty please with outcome! Car is fantastic to drive and definitely feels more of a sports car than the 335d did. Already eying on getting bigger 19s wheels, remap, intake which should take the car to 420bhp. Maybe late next year an exhaust too…

Thanks for reading!

Awesome work as per :) what did you use for the engine bay?
To dress the bay I used Autosmart Finish.

Nice work and nice car! Im fancying a silver / platinum coloured car next - Red is too much work. Look forward to seeing the mods.

Lovely car and excellent work as always Maz.

How did you find the Juiced Edt wax? I used to love it on darker colours, was my go to wax for a long time. Its looking lovely on this.

Cheers, Nige

Thanks Nige. I really liked it first time I used it since I won it 3 years ago. Really pleased with the results. Will see how it's held up when I wash car this weekend.
