Just heard from the case manager who basically said he's Escalated it up to "Brand" and should hear back Friday or latest Monday. What did they say ?
Spoke to my sales guy at Seat today and he was aware some DSG cars have been coming out with the wrong steering wheels, I said if it was me I would reject the car, he agreed as getting stuff changed after you have collected it is proving tough. He had a customer wait many weeks longer for an Ateca with emissions crap and a change of seats to full leather due to a shortage of Alcantara!! Customer went with it and then the car turns up with no electric fold mirrors.... Seat sent them £250 and a boot liner instead of paying for retro fit, which the dealership thought was shite, so all sorts of crap going on with Seat and I can only imagine it’s due to a shift of focus with emission bull crap...

Surely it's a defect and they are required to repair or replace the vehicle as it's missing an option essentially?
Going to speak to Trading standards and the financial obs on Monday as I'm not being left without a car because the Dealer nor Seat UK can be assed to fork out the money to retro fit the paddles..... I've waited a while for this car especially after my OP and now have no other car to go back to
Just going to be messy I think too! As I had a little Neg Equity from my previous trade in wasn't a massive amount but it's still there. Its "not as described" as per the 2015 Consumer rights Act and as such you are entitled to the full price that you paid, regardless of usage. Ignore the sob story from the dealer and be firm if you want to reject the car and get all your money returned.
SEAT and the dealer will rely on your emotional link to a bright new shiny car in order to accept it with some sort of compromise/ payoff.
I can't see how any consumer body can force SEAT/ dealer to put on the correct steering wheel if they really can't be bothered once they have your sale and particularly if it is more than 30 days since you picked up the car.
Not from what I can see on the Oct brochure mate, Paddles ontop of the SE Model listed in additoon for FR and FR SportNot suggesting that the dealer is wrong about 'compatibility issues'(!), but if you refer back to Kjimi's earlier post:
"....Your steering wheel needs to be changed to one with flappy paddles. Flappy paddle steering wheel also has different multifunction button modules that the paddle switches are connected to. The Airbag / steering wheel wiring harness is the same and no coding is needed for the flappy paddles to work once the steering wheel has been changed.
I have changed my steering wheel to one with flappy paddles and it was an easy job."
It appears that there should be no issue with retrofitting the correct wheel. Did the dealer confirm that if you rejected the current car and ordered again, the new one would definitely come with paddles? Post #54 on this thread suggests it may be a spec. change where only Cupra's get the paddles now.
