auto locking

just wandering if anyone else has noticed that if you leave the car unlocked for a minute or so without entering it, it locks itself again.

yeah... thats normal. its a security feature, say you accidently unlock it from inside your house or when your walking away from it etc

Its a requirement for Thatcham approval.

If you unlock it and open a door, it doesn't lock itself again. It's just in case you unlock it and get distracted and forget to lock it again. So if you're don't want it to happen, just open and close a door and it wont lock itself.

But dotn forget if you open the boot then close the boot, the car will still lock itself as its not the doors that have opened.. thus creating a problem if you have accidently placed your car keys in the boot....
Been lucky and been home where the spare is.. otherwise its a very bad thing... car lock itself with the key in the boot to unlock the car!!!

So beware! lol
