Auto stop/start not working

Just drove over to the parents. A 30 mile journey so plenty of time for engine to warm up but auto stop/start didn't kick in once. Oil temp was over 100c and there's nothing wrong with the battery that I am aware of.

The stop/start "not activated" sign came up on the read out in the dash when it should have kicked in.

Before you ask, it is switched on.

Thanks

Did you have the front demister or heated rear window on? There are a lot of reasons why it can deactivate.

Check the manual for a list of reasons why it wouldn't activate. Might be due to its in the middle of filter regeneration if it's a diesel engine

Had nothing on that isn't normally on but will have a fiddle and see if anything is preventing it from activating.

Not unusual both of my Leon's have made their own mind up about whether to stop/start and it's not always obvious.

Did you have the stop start warning sign on where it tells you what gear you are in on your dashboard?

It sounds like it's nothing to worry about.Have a look at your hand book it explains why it doesn't work.

Wouldn't worry too much, Christmas Eve I had the start stop error as with epc and oil lights appear less than a week old so that was good - seat Assist reset all errors but correct me if I'm wrong when I turn to ignition the epc and oil light are on but go off when started, shouldn't they go off with all the other lights?

That is correct. They only go out when engine started

When I had the error for start stop, it did that to, later in the same day it was automatically ok all of a sudden, but Assist reset everything anyway!
