automatic central locking how do i turn it off??

hi,
i own a lcr 54 plate and want to know how i turn the automatic central locking off you know when the car goes over a certain speed.?or do i need vag com?
if so anyone around south wales happy to help me out??

alarm isnt cat1, its not evn thatcham approved iirc

most have it turned off by default anyway

yeah a dealer would do it.probably cost you a fair bit though

my lcr says its thatcham cat1 in my book thingy

Yep alarm is Thatcham cat 1, you can check on thatcham website! If it wasnt I doubt many insurers would touch you! Auto lock is a cool feature imho stop peeps gettin in a traffic lights etc! In an accident that fires an airbag they unlock automaticaly !

can turn of with vagcom. will go into conveinience system. select adaption channels 3 or 4 i think. and switch it off. we usually do this foc if it,s one of our customers as its only a quick job. take 5 mins
