Aux belt, APP engine.

I'm trying to change the aux belt on my APP engine.

I just can't loosen the tensioner, there seems to be nowhere to release it!

there is only a tiny 8-10mm nut at the bottom of the tensioner and on the pulley (part number 06A 903 315) I can't get a tool in there!

So how does one release ones *swear* tensioner?!

No, that's what I thought I'd see. In the end I just undid the 3x 13mm bolts and let it move.

Changed belt now at last.

there is a chunk of metal on the back of the tensioner, spanner on that and push down, job done

Cheers, not happy with how the belt sits on the tensioner roller so will do the job tomorrow.

did you put the metal plate thats on the top two bolts in the right place?

I think so, I put between the tensioner and the head, should it go just in front of the bolt heads instead?
