Timing belt replacement

Hello

I have a seat leon fr 1.4 tsi from 2014, it's about to reach 210k km and it needs a timing belt replacement.

So I want to replace my timing belt and water pump.
Apparently my leon has floating pulleys and I do need locking tools that I don't have. Does that mean that I absolutely can't replace it without any locking tools?

Also, the tensioner needs a specific tool that I don't have, I don't know what it's called and of I can even make it fit without the tool

Considering that VW Group have introduced a new kits of bits to allow for "in spec" timing when replacing the timing belt on these engines, I'd think that you should consider that annoyingly, these engines do need specialist tools to set the timing as accurately as it should be getting set - and so let a workshop that has these newer additional kits and knows how to use them, replace the belt on your EA211 engine.

There seems to be 'mechanical' tool locking tool kit "VW Audi 1.2L 1.4L TSI Camshaft & Crank Locking Tool T10494/T10340" which conventionally lock the cam and crank.
Laser for example list the CHPA 1.4 ACT TSI engine.

As mentioned above, VAG now use an electronic tool VAS 611 007 which is very expensive - and in my humble opinion just a way to block independent garages from servicing these engines.

From what I understand, the eco cylinder shut-off do-odah means the timing has to be set very accurately and Seat dealers have special tools for this. The plus side is that you get a five year warranty with it.
