Hi All i am trying to get my car ready for the winter and have done a scan on the car and come up with the following fault

Address 18: Aux. Heat Labels: None
Part No: 7M3 815 071 B
Component: HEIZG. B/D5W 0001
VCID: 2F69178FC78D

2 Faults Found:
01409 - Repeated Flame-Out
35-00 - -
01413 - Dosing/Metering Pump (V54)
29-00 - Short to Ground

now i know its not really cold enough for it to work yet, but i wanted to get it fixed before it gets too late

does anyone know how to get this fixed ??

im guessing its the dosing pump gone as i remember reading its a common fault ?!?!?!?!?!!!!

where is it on the car and how do i test to confirm its faulty??

thanks in advance

Tristan

I used to work in a ford dealer. The galaxy had aux heater problems. There used to be a problem with the aux heater glow plug and aux heater wiring loom which got modified from memory. Dont know if this is any help?

i know they have now added a updated glow plug
but i think that the issue i have is with the metering pump il keep my eyes peeled

what was the modified loom for ?? can you remember
