AUX in..??

Just recently brought a GJ57 Seat Ibiza 1.4 sport and it has a AUX in bit down by the handbrake
My other half brough me a ipod lead to plug my iphone/ipod into it but the bloody thing dont work..??
Anyone got a 411 on what this could be as im confused and the manual didnt really tell me much....
It would save me a trip to Seat..!!

should be plug and play, plug it in then press aux on the headunit. then you control it via the ipod.

change the headunit to aux, then plug the headphone jack into the aux output by your handbrake then into your mp3 player....should work straight away...

if not, there maybe a loose connection on the back of the Headunit.

Is it a standard one or an aftermarket one

Standard 3.5mm (headphones type) jack in the aux socket should work fine through aux on the HU

yea if someone has changed the headunit they may not of plugged the aux in to it. However, if it is the standard one (alana) just change the source to AUX and press play

Hi have had a look and i dont have a clear visable AUX button on my HU....??

may be a source button that you have to press until it slects AUX..if it has an aux input by the handbrake then it will have an aux source on the HU

got mine done by a mobile place...

cost me about 100 pounds, make sure they take the windows out to do a proper job

Are they located in the south east or far away.
I only want slight tints all round then the car slammed to the floor hard.!

wherever...loadsa place do a mobile service, mine was based down south, can negotiate quite hard on the price.

lowering is the next thing for me
