Hi,

just got my ibiza today. :D

Any advice on protecting the turbo? After seeing the prices for a new one, I have no wish to fork out for a new one if i can avoid it

I hear that I need to drive sensibly for the last 2/3 miles, what is sensible?

Also, I do some short journeys sometimes.. will this harm the turbo?

Cheers

At the end of each journey, let the car idle for a few minutes so you dont starve it from fresh oil, this should help with prolonging it. For the short journeys, any short journey where the car doesnt have sufficient time to warm up could cause it some damage, but its nothing to worry about really. Just look after it and it'l be grand
