vroomtshh - I was hoping you'd come back and say something like a Clutchmaster FX200, but you obviously don't know as much about clutches as you think...
You don't seem to realise the difference between 'can't' and 'have no interested in dragging other people into it'
Like I said the complaints are there on this very forum for the whole world to see.
Did you get a tour round their QC department? Which procedures do they follow?
For an LCR, I have no idea what clutch you would need. If I needed one, I'd research what clutches are available, what price they are, how much torque they can hold, then I'd look for owners recommendations.
vroomtshh said:Thats where your wrong. I know exactly as much about clutches as I think.
Unfortunately it seems that you think you know everything about clutches and southbend are the be all and end all.
Don't bother wasting your time on him. I mean right here we have someone who can and has done everything, aswell as knowledge on the best of everything, bar none, We'll be seeing a 1000bhp 20vt on stock internals soon![]()
That's laughable, since you've not named ANY other brand of clutch which can compete with Southbend, whereas I have cited Clutchmaster as a suitable alternative, so clearly I'm not saying Southbend is the be all and end all, just the best option available on the UK market at the moment.
Naming brands of clutches is completely meaningless.
Lets have a little example - I currently run a Sachs clutch. Is it better or worse than a Southbend?
No, naming competing brands means you know what you're talking about.
Southbend and CM use modified Sachs, so what's your point?
Trying to catch me out that I don't know that?

Dan, do you ever contribute anything useful to the discussion, because all I see from you is snide remarks, hot air and no substance.
Does the awesome cultch come with a warranty? 3 year or 60k ? If this I's the case then what's really the problem? It may be new and may be trial and error but if it's got a good warranty I would be tempted myself. If however it does not have a good warranty I would not buy any Clutha without warranty be it a awesome Sasch or southbend for that matter.
Name a better clutch for the price, specifically something to compete with the Stage 2 Endurance model, rated at 325 ft/lbs, because that's all most people will probably need, so at that power level what would you recommend as better, or as good and cheaper, than this particular Southbend?
Just realised who Leon2012 is, you guys are wasting your time.
Leon2012 is an expert internet Troll.
