ok keep us posted m8 ,
and i meant mp3 files lol
OK, I managed to get in touch with the guy. I sent him these questions via e-mail:
1. Which lead would I require for my car (Seat Leon Cupra 2004)? I have a standard Seat CD Changer fitted in my glove compartment and is hooked up to my Standard Aura head unit. I’m unsure as to whether it’s the VAG-T, VAGS or VAGD.
2. Where does this lead connect to? The back of the CD Changer or the back of the head unit? Is it difficult to install?
3. If I have the GROM USB-2 device connected, will my CD Changer still work?
4. What’s the maximum size USB flash stick you can attach to it? I have a 16GB flash stick - will this work?
5. Is there a limit on how many files you can
store on the USB? i.e. If I had 4000 songs spread across 6 directories, will it be able to access all 4000? Or can it only access a certain amount?
6. Does it read MPR or M3U (windows media playlist file) from a USB flash stick?
He replied with the following:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. VAGS
2. The back of the head unit, it's quite easy to install providing you
can remove the stereo (removal pins may be required, but can be purchased
from Halfords etc)
3. No, it's one or the other as they both use the same connection
4. Yes up to 32GB, so however many tracks you can fit into that capacity.
5. Please see the attached instruction manual
6. MP3 and WMA
I hope this answers your questions ok but if you need to know anything else
then please don't hesitate to ask.

Re: no. 5, there is a manual on his website, and i've just checked and it's pretty straight forward how you sort the tracks out on the USB stick.
I think i'm gonna go for it! Gonna order it tonight and will let you know when I get it and what it's like. The good thing is, it comes with the 3.5mm jack lead as well, so if you don't want to use a USB flash stick, you can just use an iPod or MP3.
Comes across as a real bargain at £100.
Cheers for the
help lads.
