Curbed my wheels really bad today due to a :censored::censored::censored::censored: driving in the middle of the road. So to avoid him and a head on collision i had to mount the curb damaging my rims. Didn't even get to get his number plate!!!

So now i need a good wheel refurb company to sort them out. Have done a bit of researching for companies around Wolverhampton/ Birmingham. Speedwells in Birmingham seems to have good reviews and they have gave me a decent quote of £40 a wheel, with them taking off and putting on the tires.

-Anyone else used them before?
-Also was wondering while iam at it my calipers and wheel hubs looks a bit faded. Wanted to know if anyone had powder coated them as i was told it more hassle than its worth and they could seize?

Ouch! Not pretty. Can't help with a refurb but the 'hubs' (actually part of the brake disc) can be sprayed easily as can the calipers. Mine were done with VHT Caliper Paint Spray.

There's a refurb place near the family garage and I've seen much worse going in and coming out brand new, they'll be grand again :D £40 per wheels sounds about right, are they going to soda blast them and do a complete respray? or just fix the scuffs?

Yea i will probably be focusing on getting the wheels refurbed then painting the hubs and calipers. Don't think many people bother powder coating the calipers anyways as its costly.

Assume that's just a spray over if done in a van? If so don't expect a lasting finish.

To b fair i pretty much stood there talking to him and watching him do them . They had 3 coats of paint and 4 coats of lacquer and sat under a heat lamp to cook the paint ,i think they should be sweet . powder coating would be better but for convenience this is bang on, no getting spare wheels or getting tyres off . Im happy anyways ;)) !!
Also got a tub of paint to touch up any little curbing in the future
