if you haven't already split them, try heating them in the oven for about 5min. it will soften the glue and allow you to pry them apart easier

Cheers for the advice mate that's what I done
They was still a pain lol I found that the plastic was going soft but the glue wasn't

Got my new lights fitted with the projectors in, I fitted them with a 5k hid kit. they work so well much better than the crap bulbs I had and the beam pattern is perfect I will be setting them up properly in work tomorrow.

Tomorrow I also have to fit a new pipe for the static plus as it rubbed on my wheel can't get on my drive now

Looks good dude - big fan of the light switch mod, with it set a little deeper it should look nice and OEM+ too. May have to look into doing something similar a little further down the line with mine.

Cheers mate with the switch if its pushed in all the way it leaves a gap each side where it meets the trim. As the switch is flat and the switch panel is curved if that makes sense. I do plan no doing something with it tho

Yeah it's a bit of a shame really, a bit of work could sort it out though just need to have a think I guess. Old surround plus new graphics and mk5 knob would be my first guess, but that's a fair bit of effort for minimal gain.

Anyway, looks smart and along with the projector conversion should give a pretty sweet and relatively factory upgrade!

Gave it a clean today and got some pictures

I still got loads planned for it in the next couple of weeks I want to paint the rear badge black and repaint the brakes, I have had the stuff since I brought the car

So replaced all the speakers and tweeters today as they was all blown after getting coffee in the original radio
I put a bit of sound deadening behind and around the speaker adapter to try and direct the sound

Got some filler on it earlier and just finished sanding it, just needs a little more and then I will glue the grill bit back in
I hate sanding

Got some more of the grill done today

Glued the bit of grill back in was a lot of work to get it to fit properly.
Going to put some primer on it now give it another rub down then on to the colour

Got the grill painted today

Hopefully get it fitted this week, gotta sort something for the number plate still.
I'm going to paint the other grills so they all match.

Looks good mate, what you doing with the plate ?

I made a bracket the goes under the bumper on magnets so I can just pull it off. I don't think it's going to work tho I'm probably going to lose a plate .
I'm planning on getting a short private plate so going to try and make one the goes in the towing eye bit.
