Hi im matt I brought my black cupra r about 6 month's ago and thought it was about time I put a log up.
When I brought it it looked a bit sorry for its self but I got it at a good price so thought might as well give it a go

It had no splitter some homemade center grill and god awful lights
They needed to go lol, so I ordered a new splitter, grill and some lights to get it looking a bit better.

I did change the lights over at the same time but no pics
The car also had a full service, rear discs and pads, powerflex lower arm bushes and topmounts and lowering springs

When I brought the car it was leaking water in to the driver's side so I thought the best thing to do would be take the carpet out so it could dry and I could find the leak.

I drove it with no carpet for about a month
I finally got round to sorting the leak, it was coming from where the a piller skins join a bit of sealer and all was well
The front of the car had really bad stone chips so I went in for some body work.

I got a heat shield for my air filter from ebay.

Needed a bit of trimming to fit but got there in the end

Still more to come its a bit difficult doing if from my phone :thumbdown:

So drove it for a bit but I just wasn't low enough on the springs I actually think they made the car higher
So I ordered a set of ap coilovers

I originally ordered fk highsports but after waiting weeks they offer me the aps.
I got them fitted as low as they go

Had a bit of a problem getting on my drive

I wanted to get a armrest so had a look on ebay and found one for a good price.

Really happy with how it fits not sure if its a genuine one or not.
I had a air leak from a broken pipe so ordered some new forge ones and fitted a boost gauge at the same time I will get a pic of the gauge.

Finally after about 4 months waiting and being messed about by different companies I got my new wheels

I went for 3sdm 0.06 8.5" all round.
I knew I was going to need spacers for the front but wasn't sure how big, so I put a old tyre on one of the wheels and test fitted it. The rear went straight on with no fuss but The front was hitting the coilovers befor the brake, I decided what size I needed and ordered a set from h&r really good quality.

The brake is soooo close to the wheel

So with the spacers sorted today I set about fitting all the wheels

Im really happy with how it looks now the rears need spacing a bit but there's not much room.
Haven't driven the car far yet but the wheels get very dirty very quickly
I think thats about where im at with the car now I will add any stuff I missed and update as I go

Yea I know the front is all the way down so im going to have to take the helpers out.
Looking at getting static plus so I can still get on the drive.

Got a bit of a update my static+ is here and should hopefully be fitted next week

I hope it gets the front low enough only thing thats worrying me is that the wheels poke a bit due to the spacers so may have to add a bit of camber to avoid rubbing or maybe a smaller tyre? Will post up when its fitted

Got the static plus fitted today and its low
Only problem I got when its all they way down you can hear the drive shaft knocking
Its not hitting the chassis leg its the joint making the noise. Dose anyone else get that when running low any thing I can do to stop it destroying the joint?

Whats the height from the floor to the top of the arch ?
It dont look much lower than mine used to be and I never had any knocking.

Im not sure I could measure it tomorrow. It may just be that the joints are already worn.

Could be that they are worn, they are getting on a bit now
