as i turn the volume up on head unit you can hear that the subs get less punchy than when the volume is say 1/4 up as then its really punchy. seems like its fading off as i turn it up

ok,what are your settings for gain, frequency etc, wheres your mounting location for your earth?using a dedicated subwoofer pre-out for the headunit?

the more info you give the better

Check to make sure you have your wiring right - is your earth good on the amp stuff like that

head unit is top of range pionner dvd screen with control box in the boot for all pre outs etc. i have pre outs in sub out which is right. the earth is running from seat belt mount to chasis with all cleaned up for good connection always used that for earthing never had any probs before. as for the gain i'll have to check. all the wiring is fine etc

Power caps are useless in all but the top end SQ installs - they can put more of a load on your system -

whats the bass setting on you headunit like? these will need setting up, stuff like preamp, bass, loud mode etc.

other than that id go for the gain and frequency setting on the amps
