Battery Balancing Leon eHybrid

I don't usually charge to 100%, but will need maximum range in a couple of days, so thought I would try to balance the traction battery at the same time. I understand battery balancing only happens at 100%. Does anyone know if that is right for the eHybrid, and if so how long does it take once it has reached 100%? Would charging to 100% 45 minutes before departure be enough? Thanks for any advice.
