Beep !

Newbie...... hi

Have read a little bit that the petrol guage gives a beep when near empty - I experienced this for the 1st time this morning - trouble is I still have 1/4 tank..> is this common/right ?

I only got the car on Saturday.... hopefully nothing wrong already....

Is a 1.4 Cool/s by the way.... financially embarrassed at the moment, so no Cupra... yet !

mine will does it when say i go up a hill and the gauge drops for a moment to 1/8 then it will stay on until i refill even if it goes back up to 1/4

yeah once light comes on it wont go off until you fill up, or if it does back back above the 1/8 mark then you'll need to turn ignition off and on but there is no point really

Is there anyway of disconnecting the beep? Probably the most annoying sound EVER and ive owned a few cars! Will never forget the first time i bought the cupra and the beep came on....shat myself and thought the car was going to blow up

Luckily, I have read a few reports, so was waitnig for it to happen... bloody annoying though... fair enough if you are about to run out & only have minutes left to find a station !

Still, nice car though... a few little minor indiscressions on the body work, & the usual interior wear... but good value for the money (at the moment).

the beep is a love hate thing i love it because it scares the people who are in your car and i hate it because it scares me when your not payin attention to it

When mines stripped down I am going to find and destroy that annoying piece of ****.

Why the hell SEAT thought it was a good idea I will never know, I can see the orange light on my dash thanks, I dont need it to beep everytime you turn the ignition is on when the petrol is low.

Not only is it annoying when it comes on everytime you turn the ignition but when it does come on, usually with 25miles left, if you drive really economically after the light comes on and the trip computer reads over 25miles left the light doesnt go back out!! So annoying!

im guessing the trip computer tells u how many miles u have left? like the audi a4 02> models?
this wudnt be a feature on the 1.0 ibiza wud it? lol?
cus i dont have dat, and wud be very useful , i like to play a game, of how long my petrol will last before i need to get to a petrol station
