got to drop a few gears to overtake on these roads, as not many places to overtake, and the places where you can you dont get much room either, so its a flat out overtake, but even using it around town still get high 40's to low 50's mpg

Err dont know, but when its vented i have seen 650ish (trip to scotland and back) and unvented i will still get 550-600

i do 75% motorway miles driving sensibly and 15% of major A Roads and town again driving sensibly.

And the other 10%?:D Admittedly i dont do that much motorway stuff or vent the tank but I have given up trying to get near those sort of figures- no matter how i drive i just cant do it!

my bad was ment to be 25 not 10:redface:

i just drive changing gear around 2500rpm and sit at the speed limits for example 30mph in 4th 70mph in 6th and i always seem to get the higher miles

Unvented tank (40-45 litres at filling station) gets me 380-420 miles.

Vented tank (50-54 litres at filling station) gets me 480-520 miles.

If I boot it everywhere I get just over 40mpg whereas if I granny it about can get 55mpg. Usually manage 45-49mpg most of the time (according to trip computer that is).

i normally change at 2000rpm when taking it steady and normally get 47mpg'ish, it depends how you drive when i first went from petrol to a diesel i didnt get half as good as i was keeping the revs a bit higher.

its recommended to cruise at 1500rpm when round town for max mpg.
