Best way to drive, with clutch sypmathy?

My Clutch is on it's way out, and I've been reading all the threads about not riding the torque etc.

Now, I know you're not supposed to floor it in the high gears at low revs but is it ok to drive in around in say 6th gear 2.5k revs as long as you're only using partial throttle, and if you need more acceleration just flip it down to fifth?

As otherwise the revs end up being really high all the time.

Well if you have a boost gauge, just try to stay off the boost. Hope you have AA, just incase

AA?

And know, I don't have a boost gauge.

And by sympathy I mean, still being able to make progress and not over revving the engine.

Yes mate, driving at low rpm in high gear is okay if your gentle with the accelerator. You can still accelerate, just dont floor it, do it gradual so your not putting remapped torque levels through it.

Clutch wont just go, some people drive around a year or 2 on slipping clutch.

However saying that, the longer you leave it, the more likely it is you'll do some damage to the flywheel :)

Personally I think I'll skip changing the fly wheel just yet (unless when fitting the clutch the say nah sorry, change it NOW) :) I've adjusted my driving style for now so I'm not inducing any clutch slip. Then I'll get the clutch sorted early next year.

I need to sort out some shiny Eagle F1 Asymmetrics all round first!
