Best Way to Make a Complaint

Hi Guys

Seriously hacked off with the local dealership. Bought two new cars from them two months back, Leon to be built and delivered in September and an Altea which they had instock.
The dealing with the sale of the Altea means we still haven't recieved all the paperwork and it won't be with us untill the end of September.

Basically its been a catogory of errors, liying to me the customer and now been spoken to like sh*t down the phone as 'they can't see what the hassle is'.

I have a meeting with the manager this Monday but I'm also wanting to put a letter of complaint to Seat UK directly. Anyone know the best way to do this.
Probably going to cancel my Leon so if anyone wants a Candy White FR 170 with all the toys you'll be able to jump the que!

I had a similar situation with a ford dealership. Sent a letter to ford who basically said there was nothing they could do but would keep it on record....:(

I've complained before when i had a Mk1. Had the standard coil pack problem that plagued the 1.8T engine. Think i wrote to them. Got a quick reply and the problem was resolved. Worked well for me!

NE Scotland. I'm going to post a full thread up today to get advice from you guys on certain areas. I've now spoeken to DVLA and going to speak to Seat direct as some things aren't adding up. I'm thinking the dealer has been telling me porkies from day one

You are totally right, they are lovely cars. I just meant go to another dealer, one less useless :help:.

I had bad service, I cancelled my order, went to another dealer, then after I got my car went back to the original dealer and showed them my new car and told the manager that because of bad service they lost £17.5k of cash, he was not pleased

agree totally, you should not accept second rate service.........we spend alot of money on these cars, so if you experience bad service take your business elsewhere,we need to stand up to these dealers.

seems that seat uk dont want to ????????

also the practice of holding on to your docs is illegal ( well in england anyway) so if its a pre-reg you have and you have the car they are breaking the law by holding on to docs. its a naughty sales proecess they are doing.

Yep exactly, i have had enough of SEAT altogether, seems they dont really care that much what we say to them, i really thought i was buying a fantastic car with excellent aftersales:censored: how far from the truth i was.
It is such a shame because there cars do look great.

I would tell them to stuff there order where the sun don't shine.
Since you are in Aberdeen area I can recommend Bannerman Seat in Inverness as I have bought 3 new Leons from them over the last 4 years and both the salesman were very helpful and the service & parts guys are also helpful.

hi folks

well lets hope SEAT do read these forum comments !!!!! and may actually decide to act on them and make an effort to pull the dealers into line, cus if they dont in a few years time the repeat business is not going to be there, and im sure the "word of mouth" ethic will soon dry up !!!!!!!!!!!!!
