Best way to Modify the engine on a 2.0 16v

Hi guys i have just investeer in my 3rd mkII ibiza but now am old enough to have the 2.0 16v i have always dreamed of just wondering to all you experts out there whats the best way togo about modifing the engine?????

depends n what money your willing to spend, start off with a free flowing exhaust and filter, if your wanting more, get a manifold, wild cams ect

Hmm, you need to be prepared to spend a lot if you want a fair increase in power. Last year I had Schrick 268 cams, TSR 4-1 manifold, polish & ported head, Pipercross vector induction kit & custom cold air feed, decat, stainless exhaust, and a Stealth Racing remap. It's making 182bhp now, but I've spent well over £2k on it (and most of the major engine bits I got second hand anyway).

Having said all that, I like the way the car drives so I'm a happy bunny.

Beyond that you are into the territory of throttle bodies like Dinky Dave, F2 Stu, Rob T and some of the others. That should get you the right side of 200bhp but again, be prepared to spend.

I've always fancied doing a throttle bodied engine or something similar. A recent kit car magazine shows a Zetec with bike carbs fitted, that would be an interesting build. They were looking at 160BHP from a 115 base engine, so definitely worth it if you're able to fabricate a suitable manifold and get the mapping done somewhere. Something like these as a base?

thanks guys i have already a air filter and exuast up to the mainfold does anyone know anyone selling come cams or throttle bodys?
