My Brother-in-law is getting his van remapped by a company called Bevo Tuning, who come to you to do the remap. He has asked if i want to get my Leon done at the same time.

I've never heard of this company before and was wondering if anyone had any experience or could recommend them? I quick Google shows good reviews but would like to hear from any of you about Bevo.

I was planning to get a Stage 1 Revo map but this company are a few hundred quid cheaper, freeing up money for other mods! My concern is that it's cheap for a reason!?

Yea a quick Google points to good reviews. I'm considering the same as there is a local company to me that do custom remaps and I can get a dsg remap and engine remap for about £500. I've seen the range of cars they have mapped C63 AMG s, Audi RS6, range rovers. Thinking surely they must know what they are doing to touch such expensive cars and customers must be happy to have work done on those cars.

On my old.mk2 FR I had the dpf removed and the guys words were "if you give me an extra £50 I'll remap.it" as naive as I was I said go for it. Never had a problem since and my dad's got the car and still going strong on 150k miles!

Obviously you pay for what you get but I feel sometimes as we all know as a brand becomes more popular they can whack their prices up.

Personally I wouldn't use a company that isn't doing the map whilst testing on a rolling road. Heard lots of horror stories of remaps done on people's driveways and things going wrong.

no no no....

they buy software and hardware from ebay and flash rubbish. have seen these kind of posts on here lots and lots of times. the reviews are done by people who have no clue.

Exactly this.

How much more is an APR tune?
Then divide by the cost of a new engine.
Minus hindsight.
Add regret.

Is it still a bargain?

I think that name alone might have put me off. Calling yourself 'Bevo Tuning' seems like a border line copyright infringement for a certain other tuning company or at least a thinly veiled attempt to steal some custom?

I thought this too! Well no one has a good thing to say about them or can recommend them so will definitely stay clear and go with REVO. Cheers for the replies guys.

FYI Last year Revo did a discount on Black Friday (25% last year on software) so keep your eyes open

Called Bevo tuning as the guys surname is Bevan - although the logo/styling is a blatant Revo rip off. They actually write their own files as far as I know, but they map everything - so specialise in nothing..... Stick with a tuner that specialises in VAG cars
