I saw a number of bugs including being unable to login to my profile for half an hour and the car effectively bricked. Certainly required optimisation and better range prediction which did suddenly improve after an update four days into my test.

Folks there is a vehicle carrier just leaving Barcelona as I type this, due to arrive at Sheerness on the 16/9, the usual VAG delivery schedule is Sheerness for southern orders then onto Grimsby for Midlands and Tyne for north and Scotland.

Nothing to say it will call at all these ports they will maybe offload all of them at Sheerness and transport by road.

Looking positive a lot of new Raval's could be on this boat

Picked up the car last night - the dealer enabled the digital key (via my Samsung S23) and the Cupra app is functioning.
Only a single keyfob is supplied so if the digital key works as expected it will become useful quickly.
System seems very responsive, plenty of selections to make and try.

Interested to here what apps you get on the infotainment system and how / when you use them. I can see on the school run, waiting in station etc specific uses. Those apps are looked after by whoever I said last time . Not the PlayStore but a walled garden.

This is the new breed of infotainment system so will be interesting to hear how it goes.

Think I'd always have two keys to give ultimate couple flexibility in car opening. Emptying and packing. Waiting for the other half to turn up. Perhaps the Raval isn't seen as a coupledom car. You want to walk up to it with Kessy and open it... probably a bit of needless cost saving on the "spare key". It's the coupledom key.

All these Vag new wave ID breed cars are getting good reviews so far.

What was your total wait from order to delivery ?.

Mine is in transit and hopefully will arrive soon (if it's on the boat that should arrive in the UK today). I'll have to order a second key fob as neither of our Samsung phones will support the "mobile digital key" system as they are not top-of-the-range Samsungs. It seems a bit stupid to be selling a (relatively) low-priced car with a system that only works with phones costing around £1000.00 and then forcing you to pay a large premium to order a second key fob.

OK, there are a few lower-priced phones that support UWB (Ultra-Wide-Band) but we shouldn't have to buy new phones when a second key fob could be supplied as standard.

I just received an email confirming my car is on the RCC Prestige (boat I mentioned departing Barcelona a few days ago) it's due to dock at Sheerness this morning, unsure if it will offload all cars there or head up to Grimsby then Tyne as VAG boats often do.

Wait so they've changed something then? I was under assumption digital key needs UWB support which if you have the smallest of the family S23 6.1" like I do too, it doesn't. S23+ and Ultra does feature UWB but not S23 so.

According to Samsung, the S23 basic is not compatible with UWB but it does have NFC which, I think, allows you to tap the door handle to unlock.
I can't guarantee any of this myself as I don't have the car yet, but indications are not good at this point, but if you've enabled the digital key, maybe it's OK.

OK. So it was stock car on the dealers forecourt - we arrived to choose it not long after it arrived at the dealer (Shrewsbury) so total wait time was one week prep then another week while they installed a software update - v6.1. They had another two in different colours but apparently are selling so quickly the dealer has asked for more. Their test drive car is a matt green VZ.
Samsung S23 uses NFC to unlock - you do have to be on the handle to unlock it, or else as remote as you like from the Cupra app of course. I suspect therefore that any android version with NFC will work? I will be able to try later with an older S20FE. You then put the phone in the centre console to start the car.
The key fob I was told is £350 ish for an extra, takes 2-3 weeks to arrive. Of course this unlocks from a few metres away. Note the key 'sleeps' if not moving so safe from nefarious types with a scanner at your front door (I hope!).
There is also a credit-card device with the car - I understand that too can be enabled so used with NFC but not sure at this point if that makes it only for unlocking / locking or actually starting the car too.
As for apps, can't say: Android Auto holds everything I need thus far but will need to check integration with maps and charging points that is potentially built in.

For anybody in the North the RCC Prestige will be leaving Sheerness and heading for the port of Tyne due to arrive tomorrow evening, handover is about 2 weeks on average from then (can be quicker on occasion)

My S25 won't work on tapping the handle either as the door handle does not have an NFC sensor, first thing I tried. I can only lock and unlock via my Samsung Wallet and lock and unlock options sadly.

But at least the key fob works so when it's near the lock it will open the lock when you touch the handle if it's within proximity of the sensors right?

I reckon so it will be an adjoint to Kessy. Probably some Vag training manual on Erwin about how it works but you'd have to cough up for access time and pretend you are a dealer now to read it.

Reckon you are better off buying a second key and view it as a cost saving measure by Vag. You got the mobile access as an alternative but only one key means the other half has to have the designated phone to get in. Too much hassle.
