Hi guys
So I was driving home on Monday up th M1 travelling at 70mph ish. When all of a sudden the coil light came on followed by the battery light, the car then cut out and I lost power steering. I managed to get into the hard shoulder (from the outside lane) and after panicking for a few seconds turned the car off left it for 30seconds and turned I back on again. The fault seem to clear and I drove it home. The next day I took it straight to seat, explained the fault and left it in there 'capable hands'
3 days later (today) after numerous updates from the dealer I picked the car up after being told it was sorted. 2 miles down the road it did it again. I turned the car round and on the way back to the dealer it did it again. Dropped it back off and was told "it very strange this has happened and when we road tested it, it was fine"
I've spoke to a German specialist (a reliable friend who is a mechanic) and he said its a problem with the injectors and they will need replacing at a cost of £700 per injector. Plus labour. Appantly it's a common ish fault with the audis and some got recalled.
Anyone else heard of this common ish fault?
