I notice there are one or two threads on this already, which I've read in turn. However, they all seem to be suggesting a possible blown fuse. I've checked it already and it's fine.

Then I checked the device, a TomTom 710.. works fine in my dads Foci RS.

Anyone heard of any issues with the Leon's 12v lighter socket playing up? I need my SatNav charged fully for this weekend :S And, as with everything else when I need it, I can't find my damn house-charger for the TomTom!

Any clues, fellas?

Thanks in advance..

theyre a crap fit, try the boot ciggy socket, or wiggle the plug and keep pushing i found it wasnt pushed in far enough.

I've done so much wiggling today, you wouldn't believe! Where abouts is the boot socket? It was raining all day here so I didn't have much chance to get inside the boot and poke about, but I couldn't find it after a quick check :S How useless am I?

With regards to checking the wiring, that's my next plan of action. But with the weather being shite here, I've not felt like playing with my electrics just yet.

Ta fellas.

In the boot is on the left hand side panel. If you have one, it is very obvious. It has a hinged cover with '12v power supply' on it in white letters.

Have you got another device you can try in the dash ciggy lighter, like a mobile charger, just to see what that does?
