Posting this one as one of the SCN peeps able to observe this transformation and will able to give you some feedback on what he saw ;)

Booked in and done on the blind - no pre-inspection so what I got at the start was what I saw for the first time.

No Before shots as such due to the rain.

washing

First job was a pre-soak with Auto rae Chem snow foam applied via the super soaker spray as it was a little too early on the Bank Holiday to start the Karcher up. This was used with a smITT and one bucket rinse, wash mitt used for lower sills, and alloys.

Claying was completed with Pinnacle Ploy Clay and QD. A second -pre-soak and rinse down before drying off with a Cobra Guzzler and heading off into the dry and warmth of the garage.

Once inside was took the paint depth readings and taped up with 3m tape.

Correction
Here is what was in store for some TLC:
ST170.jpg

Using the Metabo Rotary and a Wolfgang Polishing Pad with Pinnacle Swirl Remover a test section was completed. Not completely happy with the level of correction a second set was done at 1100 rpm.

Further checks of PDG and correction level resulted in a step up to Pinnacle Advanced Swirl Remover with a polishing pad. This was worked to achieve this:

Not happy with the level of correction, this combination used to correct the rest of the bonnet area. The rest of the car was corrected using the first combination at 1100 rpm.

Once fully de-swirled started to look black again I followed up with a finishing pad and Pinnacle Advanced Finishing Polish.

Preparation
After a discussion with the owner regarding the options he choose to go for the upgrade wax so used Pinnacle XMT Finishing Glaze on the PC and a Finessing Pad.

Protection
A layer of the Swissol Best of Show- nothing short of a beauty on Black.
Alloys layered with Wolfgang Deep Gloss Sealant.
Arches dressed with AS Finish.
Tyres with Pinnacle Onyx Black Tire Gel
Glass with Stoners Invisible Glass.
Exhaust with Autosol Metal Polish.

Due to the rainy weather outside we caught some inside reflection shots:
