Yeah definitely mate, I've got everything I need to do give it a detail, clay, DA polisher, Menzerna polishes, sealants, wax, tyre dressing, loads of MF cloths... I'm waiting until the weather get's a bit warmer though, I should have detailed it before winter but I didn't. The car will be getting some new found shine later this year :D

It should make a world of difference!, i brought some Autoglym HD wax last year, it was amazing but didn't realise i should have clayed it first! This time i'm going to clay it but aren't too sure whether to get Meg's or Autoglym? :)

Personally I'd get neither, I'd get a Bilt Hamber clay bar. I've got two. Can be picked up on eBay for £10-£15 for a 200g bar, of which you'd cut into 2 pieces and then use as 2 bars.

I just Googled it and seen those recommended on detailingworld, but thought it was too good to be true after seeing prices on ebay! Do i just buy a bar and use water as a lube?:)

I'd agree with Chris... Bilt Hamber clay is good. I've got some Megs clay though, only due to the fact I got it cheap! Same as AG High Def Wax, was going to buy some here but I managed to find some in the US when I went on holiday... $17 for a tub! That was with 2 applicators and a mf too :) I picked up loads of car cleaning stuff when I was away... think I might do the same this time

Yup, that's all you do. Get the paintwork nice and wet with water and just glide the bar over the paint.

When you're done, it should look like this... maybe worse if it's NEVER been clayed.

And here's quick pic of my detailing collection... OCD much? :p

Not enough Chris! I'll try gather some of mine up and get a picture :p
"Some"!!!

Only thing I didn't picture was the Karcher pressure washer.

Last time I went to the US/Canada I was only 13... and silly me didn't think of stocking up on detailing stuff :bleh:

BTW Mick, do your sidelights still work? Mine have lasted 3/4 months and I've already had one replacement off the seller (12 month warranty) but don't feel like bothering him again, would rather just get some decent ones! Was wondering if you happen to have a link to what you bought (if they still work)?

Sorry about the quality, from my phone in my room.

Plus some MF cloths, my wash mitts and DA :) And in the Red AG Bag things are 2 deep, bar the bottom left!

Yeah they still work mate, but I posted up a link to them before which worked - Then looked at it a few days later and the price had gone up to £19.99 or something rediculous! I can try find the link again if you want though? See if its changed...

You're an OCD detailer on the quiet Mick, rather like myself!

Thanks for the link to those sidelights, will get them ordered before my last pair from the other seller break!

Silly boy! :bleh:

I never went for that, but ended up coming home with Wax, Clay, Quick Detailer, Wheel Cleaner, Swirl X and some applicators, mitts and mf's

Shall be stocking up again when I go back in a few months! :D

I am when I get the time haha. I feel like my cars been neglected over the winter months, but nothing much I could do :(

No problem mate, Ive had them on for ages now and both still work and have never flickered :)

Just read through this full thread, tidy car! twin headlight units and cupra spoiler are quality mods! by chance do you do something electrical related for a living? (going by the headlight adjustments haha!)

Haha, I wish I did! Would probably get paid more than I do now

Only electrical related studying I did was at school when I did Electronics at GCSE level! But I can use a multimeter and a soldering iron, plus my dad has a few electrical bits as he is a kitchen fitter so I'm never really short on electrical bits :)

It's going to happen Chris mate, now the twin reflector headlamps are fitted and working I'm going to save up for a HID kit. If you don't mind me asking, how much did your 5000k H7R kit cost from HIDs4U? Feel free to PM if you prefer.

Basically I didn't want a H4 hi/lo kit so I had to do the headlamps first ;) but as I say, HIDs are coming and I'll soon be as cool as you
