At that price it is really, REALLY! hard to resist and it sounds like what I'm after, not too aggressive but a nice extra kick when it's playtime with extra mpg when it isn't.

Done a good bit of research before I decided it was the one for me.
Lots of good reports from other VAG drivers on it.

And for £364 all in was to good for me to pass up..

Just stop drinking/smoking or something and you'll be able to recoup that really quickly!

From speaking to Revo and Al. The fuelling is trimmed lower down. Which in turn creates lower egt's allowing slightly more power to be made top end but also obtaining more power for longer :)

Cheers mate

Just tell her with the improved mpg it'll pay for itself ;-)

I spoke to a tech guy at SuperChips today and asked about fuel economy for a TFSI and he said that it would at best be roughly what you used to get for regular driving, but more likely, it will be worse. This is because the extra power is produced by burning more fuel.

This rather knocks on the head my justification to myself for buying Bluefin, that I would be saving money on petrol.

Oh well, it would have cost getting on for an extra £100 on my insurance, so I will probably spend the money refurbishing my wheels and fitting a new set of tyres.

When I had bluefin I'd say my mpg was slightly better when driving normal but overal mixture of driving no worse than before.

Any updates mate?

Sorry for the delay mate I'm nightshift this week.

Well arrived yesterday took about 45min to install took it straight out for a run
Instantly I can feel the difference from about 2500rpm you can feel the turbo start to
Boost (never really felt the turbo before) and goes all the way on till red line smother
and a lot quicker.
Totally love it now it feels like the car should have felt from factory in my opinion.

Normal driving now feels so much better lots more torque and boost low down. One thing I instantly noticed is before when I lifted off the throttle It felt like the brakes were binding
Now it just to rolls along.

Highly recommend from me......

Cheers buddy. So you can definitely feel it low down? Tbh I was wanting something quite peaky low down as I do a lot of local driving. Won't really be taking it over 3.5k that often so was going to go for revo but price difference is massive.

Glad to hear it made an improvement on your car :)

So tempted to buy one after bluefin confirmed it should work with my engine/ecu even with it being a 2011 model.

Just a little worried about my warranty, don't fully understand the warranty that blufin provide.

Is a bluefin a safer map than revo? Better on clutch?

Apparently so.

I'd really like to know how different revo is to superchips? Is revo bad for clutch, turbo etc?

Revo are an expensive brand for a reason. They are pretty much unmatched in reputation. They do so much research before release of there maps to give optimum performance within tolerances. There remaps are aggressive driver focused remaps for ultimate performance.:) doesn't mean to say parts will fail though
