Hi all,

this is my first post, so forgive me if I have missed another discussion about this!

I have just got an Altea 2.0 TDI Special Edition, and am trying to get my head round the BT phone facility.

I have successfully paired the phone (an HTC smartphone) with the car, and the first time it downloaded my phonebook and some call history. OK so far.

My question is, how can I force the car to download the phonebook again? I have added a phonebook entry on the phone, but it does not appear on the phonebook in the car.

Any ideas?

Regards,

Julian

Have you tried getting the phone to forget the paired device then re-pairing? You should be able to do that on the phone without going near the car, not sure on the HTC but it will be somehwere in the Bluetooth settings.

If you've got a windows mobile phone I have had great success with Jetware. I have a subset of contacts with a car category in outlook and have configured jetware to just send these. That way you're not trawling through your entire address book just to call and say you're going to be late home.

I think that's only if you pre-record the voice tags. I tried that approach but the only way I could get the system to understand me is to do an impression of the the TV sales channel people.
