I'm new here, just got an ST. A question if I may.....

I'm after knowing what I need in order to link my phone to the car. I only have the normal stereo with the single CD but do have the voice control button on the steering wheel. After a bit of searching online it appears I need a bluetooth mobile interface? Where would I get this device and are their any third party items that are cheaper that do the same job (not like the parrot setup etc). Or am I best to get a parrot setup.

Anyone? Is this mobile interface something I have to get from the Seat dealer or is there a third party item that will work with my oe stereo.

First thing is to do a bluetooth device search with your phone whilst the car has the ignition on, you may well have factory bluetooth.

AFAIK All Exeo's have factory fitted Bluetooth. As Nath says, try a device search from your phone , you should see something like Seat_nnnn as a device. The procedure should be in the manual.

Bluetooth is an option.
I have the July09 Seat Exeo brochure in front of me and in the Standard Equipment list under the Entertainment section it has 'Integrated Bluetooth handsfree system with Voice control' as Standard fit on all models. Maybe it changed subsequently but I didn't think so.

@mcdonald, I notice you're not in the UK. Is your car not a UK spec then ?
I wonder if the Euro LHD spec is different.

That may well explain the differences. Over here we don't even have the same model designations as that. We have S , SE , Sport and SE Lux, with the Tech option on the SE and Sport.

I had a good look at the spec list before I bought my SE Lux and as far as I remember only the very bottom spec Exeo does not have bluetooth.

After a bit of trial and error I've sorted my bluetooth connection. I wasn't using my phone properly

Has anyone got any ideas how to add people to the cars phonebook or search for names in the phones directory? Also how do you phone someone or add them to the voice control thing?

Not all phones support the phone book/contacts function. the other stuff you asked is all in the owners hand book mate or just fiddle with it and work it out, it isn't hard.
