I think that's the way I'm leaning at the moment but it depends on the damage obviously and how well they repair it, this will of course entail yet more compensation as far as I am concerned.

I don't think the defects in the Black/White on the front bumper are coincidence. It isn't the first time that I have heard that the line between the two isn't very distinguished, with slight runs or patches etc. It must be how SEAT are spraying the bumpers, whether it's rushing them to get them out the door, or just crap methods, I don't know.
It'd be a sad, sad day that SEAT disappoint you so much you feel you have to resort to a Clio.

£16,745 with a full tank and mats was the original deal, that includes £1000 SEAT customer loyalty discount, after PX'ing my '08 Leon FR it left just under £4,500 to pay. As mentioned previously SEAT have agreed to give me the basic 3 year "service" pack worth about £500 and the additional booth tray worth about £100, so I'm not doing too badly.
I've just returned from the dealership where my Dad, Girlfriend and I had a very good look over the replacement, the are a couple of very minor imperfections on the bumper where the black meets the white in the corners by the headlights, one appeared to have been touched up using a black marker and the other had been badly touched up with a touch up stick, there was also a very very minor mark on the rear driver's side wheel arch, but nothing a bit of polish won't sort out.
I've agreed to accept it on the basis that all of the repairs are carried out to my satisfaction and added to the other bits and pieces I'm getting from SEAT the dealership has agreed to throw in a spoiler painted and fitted. Once the front bumper has been fixed I'll being going to check the car and then once I'm satisfied the spoiler will be going on, hopefully that'll be the end of it.
My front bumper is pretty bad tbh, the line has been badly masked on the o/s and under the n/s headlamp it hasnt been painted at all.
I figured sod it, it will need repainting at some point anyhow due to stonechips so ill just get it done properly then.

Well they said that they guy who they get to do their bodywork won't be in until Wednesday, they suggested going to see it next weekend which I assume means that they'd have it repaired next week, but I'm not about that weekend unfortunately and have got to give them a call after I've checked my shifts at work.
dont spose you have a picture techie? just wanna see what people mean by this as im picking up mine in few months and if its the same as most peoples, i wont bother mentioning it.
How you can pay 16+k for a car that is already in less that good condition is beyond me.. im not suprised seat are selling them like that though tbh. Touch up stick you say

Haven't had much of a chance for an update this week as I've been busy on a course and fulfilling my domestic duties (oh...and I've been a bit lazy to 
). I'm not best impressed as both SEAT and SMC said that they would phone me this week and I haven't received a call from either. Yesterday I phoned SMC and was told that the spoiler had arrived and had been sent to their bodyshop for painting, and that they had been working on my bumper since 09:00 in the morning so as to get it just right...I'll believe it when I see it!
SMC said that they thought it would probably be ready for Monday and that they'd give me a call today to confirm, alas I've have had no such phone call and was unable to call them as I had quite a busy afternoon.
So I need to get in touch with both SEAT and SMC to find out what's going on...
