Doh!

Gonna keep mine then.

Are the ones I've ordered deffo the ones you ordered? Fit fine yeah?

Also, being the engine bay bling man you are, I want a cap for the coolant, and I need the caps for either end of my strut brace. Any idea where and how much? Funds are tight at mo, so if expensive they may have to wait...

Had these on my mk2 golf but they pushed the top of the bonnet up when it was closed so there was a bigger gap at the top and the bonnet was at a funny slant.

Mine were shipped today so i should get them tomorrow.

Coolant head cap, Forge as a pair with the oil cap or possibly from Awesome as part of the Neuspeed range.

Strut caps, Forge again.

Hi guys quick question/favour, before you fit the bonnet struts can u please measure them for me? I don't want chrome ones on mine so i'm going to try and match a set up with one from another manufacturer and need to know the length. Cheers.

Turned up this morning, £1 cheaper than I thought, only £18.99! lol

Will try fitting them tomorrow or later :)

Will measure them too lol

Only thing is the instructions are in GERMAN, so all you have to go by is the diagram lol

Cant be too hard eh?

easy to fit - do a search on here for pix and info if in doubt. Mine are o.k.but don't lift the bonnet up far enough, keep bumping my head if not careful as used to lil ol Pug 106 where the bonnet is lifted to almost vertical...

Yeah fitted mine today, not too bad, quite straight forward. German instructions are a pain but all in all with a bit of common sense its easy...

Got pics to follow too....

Also, on measurement, length is 400mm or 15.5"

Here we go...

No worries, the only thing I wasn't sure on was which screw type to use where...

So I used the one on the left (in the pics) at the bottom and the other at the top on the bonnet. My theory for this is the one at the bottom would need to handle more force, and therefore needs to be tougher lol

Phil, which did you use? (Did you have one thick screw in each set?)
