Bonnet Release catch - Snapped Off!

This morning I had my bonnet open and closed it in the normal fashion and was driving a few places for work, I got to a car park and after getting out I noticed my bonet release catch has snapped ie the one that protrudes from the grill. I have read about this before but cant find it for love nor money! anyone? how do i open the bonnet now? Also is it a straight forward replacement? Typical this happens as my screen wash runs out!

Depending how far down it's snapped, might be able to get a pair of pliers on the catch/pull through the grill to open it

Also - the S badge on the front should be a push-fit item - might be able to pull it out and have better access to the catch mechanism and maybe release it manually with a flat screwdriver?

Its kind got to the stage where its snapped off and its sitting on my desk in front of me! theres sort of a circular thing that i asume whas where it pivoted which has just bust. I'll give it ago when i get some sunlight!

Best bet if you can't see where the catch attached to would be try prising the S off the grille and see if you can get to the catch mechanism from there ... just be careful not to put a chip in your S

Don't think you ca get the s badge off, i tried very hard mines is an R tho so diff grill.
Part is easy to fit and cheap enough, just getting the bonnet open thats a PITA!

The grille is held in by a screw.
