Bonnet release lever -how to detach?

Hi,

How the bonnet release lever can be detached? I would change the foot rest, but I don't know how to remove the side panel where the lever is, and I cannot access the screw which holds the rest panel.
Thanks

edit:Found the screw that holds the lever

I found the plastic screw under the lever, but even with this removed I still can't get the whole panel off. The level seems to be stopping it. Any more tips?

So the trick to removing the panel is to first remove the lever.

While pulling on the lever to the open position.

If you feel the top of the level at the back there is a slot.

With a screw driver inserted into this slot at 45 degrees to the panel, lever out a small clip by pushing the screw driver to the rear of the car.

Once the clip is removed the handle will pull off.:p

no problem its frustrating when you can't see all the clips.

Sorry I typed level in both posts, this should have read lever/handle.
