Bonnet wont open, broken pull tab

Got a problem at the moment, Today i tried to pop the bonnet open however the pull tab didnt come all the way out, so i tried pulling and somehow not knowing my own strenght pulled the puller clean off.

now really need to open the bonnet to get to the battery as the batterys flat and needs charging,

So is there any way to now pop the catch without the pull tab.

Could really do with some help on this, thanks for any!!!

Are you able to pop the bonnet open and then pull it upwards manually to stage 2 of the opening sequence?

Yeah the bonnet pops up, have now managed to fit my fingers into the gap, feel for the catch and slid it over to the right. now finally have it up. Just need to find a pull tad now.

squirt some wd40 in there just needs a little lube!!

Yeah, seems a little stiff at the moment. Also a little hard to open as iv pulled the small black thing off that comes out the grill that you pull to lift the bonnet open.

Hi mate tel u what use a flat head screw driver pop the bonnet from inside the car hopefully your car bonnet should rise a little bit then right in the middle of the bonnet lock there is just enough room for the large flat head screw driver to enter push the screw driver in and turn the screw driver that should unlock the mechanism and now you can raise the bonnet all the way! hope this helps

sorry to resurrect an old thread but did you manage to get a new pull tab for the grill? mine has snapped. I have managed to get the bonnet open and got the catch mechanism off but cant find anywhere that sell the plastic pull tab
