Im slightly unsure about this at the moment. I have swapped my exhaust back over for warrenty purposes which took me hours due to the lack of space. I noticed that the boost downpipe from the turbo runs past the exhaust (very closley and to make it fit is squashed before returning back to its original shape and going to the intercooler.

My idea was, because my decat gives much more space, getting a custom turbo downpipe made, maybe stepping up the diameter of the pipe from what looks like 2" to about 2.5-3

I know there would be less heat transfer from the exhaust downpipe but what aout volume of the boost pipe? any thoughts?

yeah that would reduce the heat issue. What about the size and shape. Looks squashed and quite a small bore. Any benefit of a larger bore
