hi and great site, just joined.

i have had this problem for a while now and it seems to be a pain.

it comes in around the 1500 rpm and stutters then seems fine, at my wits end.

seen on the site it may be a N75 valve. dont know what that is?

or a diverter. not sure what that is either?

could it be the dump valve or actuator not holding boost.

heres hoping someone can help

hi mate. 20vt leon you have?

1500revs isnt turbo terrority... that usually kicks in later.

does this happen all the time or when cold? always at that rev mark?
when you say stutters? can you see this on the rev counter?

does it idle ok?

its a 20vt, it happens when u accelarate around 2000 rpm, the thing is u can actually accelarate thru and its fine then u let off and it does it again, the rev counter and idle is fine
cheers davy

hmmmm nothing obvious i can think of? sticking throttle body?

if it is turbo related it could be the dv sticking?

you need to find someone close with vagcom and they can check for faults, and do some logs to see whats happening with the engine.

might be an idea to have a good feel arond the hoses and check youve no leaks or splits.

no expert here mate but id get it vag commed first and see if any faults show up.

reading through the forum you may have noticed that mafs, temp senders and coil packs can be weak spots and all could potentially be your problem though nothing youve said describes my experiences with the above.

if your running the stock dv. thats known to fail although never had one go on me so couldnt say. most on here replace the stock one with a forge 007 recirculating one or a baileys. much stronger

Worth checking the connections on the N75, its a little black valve kind of t-piece with a connection block on it. If you are standing looking at the engine bay its about 2 O'clock at the back of the engine cover. It has 3 small pipes coming out of it.

Hi Davy!

There seem to be many people on this forum with the same problem or characteristic as i have started calling it! They just seem to call it different things. Try searching for "hesitation".

Mine still does it even though my garage said they had sorted it. People have tried new MAF sensors, new N75s and Diverter Valves (Dump Valve for arguments sake is the same thing) - But to no ovail. Tis a tad frustrating!

N75 is a turbo boost presure valve that controls the amount of boost the engine gets through the rev range, Dump or Diverter valve will release the excess turbo pressure when you let off.

Hope this helps, I *** be trying new MAF and DV - Diverter Valve myself *** you never know!!

Hope this helps

thanx 4 the help lads, problem solved!!!!!!!!!!!!
it turns out it was the coil packs on cylinders 2 and 4, goin to change them saturday morning......... if i can be arsed lol
