Boost gauge readings

What are normal boost gauge reading all around?
Not sure whether my gauge works well or not. Idle vacuum seems to fluctuate buy never drops below 11, which seems low.
But I do hit peaks of 16/17 when under max load so that makes sense.
What should I be expecting from the LCR?

I got the APR tap. So straight off the inlet mani pressure. (mk2)
Idle should be at about 20-25.
When you let go of the throttle it should shoot down a bit lower than idle but climb back a bit. It just depends how much the throttle plate is open. If you're cruising with 10% throttle or something you may be at 0 or 5inHg.
Boost on mk1 is probably about 13 or so?

Thought so... That's a vacuum gauge mate. So yes, the more you hit the throttle, the less vacuum you will pull. If you have a turbo... You want to get a boost gauge. That shows vacuum and boost.

Hahaha. It's alright mate. We all make mistakes. Good news is you're pulling good vacuum at idle which is a good sign.
If you replace this gauge with a boost gauge I can buy this one off you :)

Shouldn't be a prob. Good chance the same maker makes a boost gauge. If your current one is electric, get another electric one. If the boost tube goes straight to the gauge, you only need to switch the gauge. Easy peasy
