So I’m wondering. After just buying a cupra is it worth having the boost system smoke/pressure tested? Having never driven one before I don’t know what I’m looking for myself. I’m in Surrey if that helps
Is it MK1, MK2 or MK3? Personally I wouldn't bother unless you feel there's something wrong with it. E.g. doesn't pull consistently through the rev range. Is it remapped? Are you planning on remapping it?
Completely standard mk1 AUQ at the moment... I have various bits and pieces to do to it. Just crossed my mind as I have no idea what it’s meant to feel like

Haha, yeah, I get what you mean. TBH if I had no specific issue I was looking for, I'd prefer a rolling road run to a boost test. That'll show you power, torque and more importantly how smooth power is being delivered. Most places will do a run with printout for about the same as a boost test. Then you'll know whether it's producing the power your expecting and delivering it smoothly. Depends on if you plan on having it remapped in the future?
You could get yourself a boost gauge, and then cross ref your boost levels. That's what i did as there's barely anyone in my area that offers the service.

On to the next question. If I put the car in gear with the engine off. I can wiggle the stick left and right about an inch each way. Is it meant to be this slack? I’ve checked nothing immediately under is wobbling but the slack may be in the knob mechanism what do you guys think
