Boot Issue

Hi,

I’m new here, so please be kind .

I’m having issues with my boot opening. Won’t open from the outside with central locking or the boot button, however if I manually open my boot, and lock it from the outside (with the boot open) and then hold down the open boot button, it unlocks? Very confusing. Anybody have any ideas? Help would be much appreciated

As a first step, open the boot, set the latch to locked, then lower the boot to rest nearly closed and test. If the remote unlock works with the boot all the way open but not with it in the closed position I would be expecting a wiring problem in the loom that runs from the body to the boot lid.
we know the latch is working as it is electrically operated by the handle.

Just in case you do not know this, to move the hatch lock into the closed position, trip the latch with a screwdriver.
