Boot problem

Locked the boot earlier and when i unlock it it wont open, boot lock has worked perfect before checked from inside nothing seems to be caught, anyone else have problems with it before

remove the boot lid rear panel to get access to the rear of the lock . You will see a rod which has plastic rose joints on each end . The rod is threaded to allow adjustment so that the boot catch operates correctly . The rod can jump a few threads in the plastic rose joint if someone is a bit rough with the pull badge . Re adjust the length of the rod and rose link and glue if required to repair the plastic threads in the rose joint

Seat dealers know about this problem but usually tell you the micro chip in the lock has gone ! Its just easier for them to replace the whole lock mech .......... but it costs a bomb. My fix is much cheaper .
