I have a 5 door Leon FR 150 ACT hatchback and due to an upcoming holiday I though I had better make sure that the cases etc fit in the boot, lo and behold they did. I managed to get 3 full size cases plus 3 carry on cases in, all I had to do was fold the 60% back rest down and everything went in ok, I didn't even have to take the parcel shelf out!! I am very impressed as coming from a Kuga MK2 which in theory has more boot space I thought I would struggle, if anything the cases seemed to fit better so I am guessing that it's better use of space on the Leon than the Kuga although the Kuga is a lot bigger car.

The main reason for buying the Leon was to downsize and go down to one car that both me and the wife can drive as she thought that the Kuga was too big for her to drive, the intention was for her to give her Fiesta back at the end of a 2 year Options deal which finishes in August. Things have now changed, she has only driven the Leon once for about 5 minutes and on the weekend told me that she wants her own car so we will be getting a replacement new Fiesta Titanium Ecoboost sometime in July. The deal offered was too good to miss, £1600 deposit plus a small bit of equity and payments of £93.96 per month over 2 years and this also included free metallic paint.

We've just downsized from a SEAT Exeo to a Leon FR. Whilst the boot capacity is smaller, the leon has more usable space. We can actually get a tandem pram in the Leon, yet it wouldn't even go near the Exeo.

The capacity of cars is stated in cubic measure, when floor area can be more useful.
My fishing rods and model aircraft don't need much height just length, for instance.

It's very seldom you need the full boot hight which is why the variable floor on the ST is such a good idea. My wife loves it. You've got flat floor at a good hight so you don't need to bend over, no load lip and a big extra storage area under the floor. Great idea.

my wife likes going to flower shows (gardeners World Live, Hampton Court and the like).
we used to take my E-class estate which was useful for this.
Now we've got the Leon ST I thought I'd be spending a bit less on plants but it's surprising what will fit in it, especially with the back seat down. Still costing me a fortune in plants.
Just wish it folded completely flat.....
