Boot Struts

Can anyone point me in the right direction of what needs to be done to get the boot auto opening from the button on the key?

Just hold down the boot unlock button on the key.

As above fit the struts and hold the button down and it will pop and open up

Anyone know what to fit to the St other than the kit from Poland that is struts with springs. Noticed my boot doesn’t move more than a few mm when pressing the key these days can’t remember if it went more than that before but end up having to use the badge to lift every time

I dont know if this one are enough with 40 more NM to 580NM to leon st against original 540NM stabilus 604220

I can only find one seller in the uk for those and £105 seems a little steep. Would be happy with the boot lifting just enough to get my hand on the lid to lift it do the standard ones normally manage this mine are now nearly 5 years old and need replacing anyway so thought I’d see if the little upgrade was possible

Is there anyone who is good at this with gas springs if the original is at 540Nm
and if you then increase to 580Nm how much more will it be ,, it is noticeable with 40 extra ..

Simple math though isn't it? 40Nm on both sides makes for about 8kgs of extra porce pushing the struts out.
